Mr. Gil Perez co-founded BackFlip in 2005 and serves as its Chairman and CEO. During his career Mr. Perez has founded and managed multiple successful high-tech companies and has been personally involved in over $1 billion of transactions.
Mr. Perez co-founded TopTier Software, a leading enterprise portal company, which was acquired by a private equity investment firm in 1998 and subsequently acquired by SAP AG in 2001. In 2004, Mr. Perez led the transformation of A2i into a leading Master Data Management (MDM) solution in the market, which resulted in its acquisition by SAP AG.
In 2005, as CEO and Managing Partner of Gilo Ventures, he oversaw two transactions; the acquisition of Stentor by Philips and the acquisition of Sheer Networks by Cisco. In late 2005, Mr. Perez a co-founded Arcadian Networks and was its CEO till early 2008. Since 2005 Mr. Perez lead multiple financing rounds for both Gilo Ventures portfolio companies and the fund itself. Mr. Perez is currently serving as Chairman of OrNim Medical Inc., Arcadian Networks.
Mr. Perez was a visiting scholar at Stanford University from 2003 to 2004
Amir Sadras joined BackFlip at its inception in May 2005 bringing more than 10 years of experience of product and project management, and software development.
Prior to joining BackFlip, Amir served as enterprise portal product manager at SAP AG at its headquarters in Germany and offices in Israel. Previously, Amir held R&D positions at TopTier Software, which was acquired by SAP, and served as a project manager at Attunity where he lead the implementation of middleware products at fortune 500 companies.
Amir received a B.Sc. in Information Systems Engineering from the Technion, Israel, and MBA from ESADE Business School, Barcelona, Spain.
Brent De Kay joined BackFlip in 2006 bringing more than 10 years of application software experience, particularly in the areas of enterprise resource planning, knowledge management, enterprise portals, and business intelligence.
Prior to joining BackFlip, Brent served in professional services at TopTier Software. Previously, Brent worked for over six years at SAP AG in various roles including Manager in the Strategic Solutions Group, Director of the Portal Practice for Fuijitsu Consulting and as a Platinum-Level Consultant with SAP Portals.
Brent received a B.Sc. from the University of California, Riverside.
Matt Sullivan joined BackFlip in 2006 bringing more than 10 years of experience in enterprise software sales and sales management.
Prior to joining Backflip, Matt served as Director of Sales at FuelQuest, a leading tax automation and supply chain software SaaS company. Previously, he was a Global Account Executive at SAP America where he managed Fortune 100 clients. Matt was a three-time recipient of SAP’s Leadership Club Award. Prior to joining SAP America, Matt served as Branch Sales Manager at Oracle Corporation.
Matt received two BA degrees from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MBA from St. Mary’s College, Moraga, California.
Yossi Tamari founded BackFlip in 2005 while acting as a researcher-in-residence at Gilo Ventures. Prior to joining Gilo Ventures, Yossi was an architect at SAP, which he joined as result of SAP’s acquisition of TopTier Software. During his seven year tenure at TopTier and SAP, Yossi was key in developing and architecting multiple enterprise infrastructure and middleware products, including Baan Data Navigator, TopTier/SAP Workplace, TopTier Enterprise Portal, SAP Enterprise Portal, and SAP Netweaver SOA architecture.
Yossi received a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion, Israel.
