BackFlip Process Communications On Demand™ is intended as an integral part of any SOA-enabled environment. With security in mind, we have designed a set of web service APIs to support most leading business applications. These interfaces carry information between the user and the backend system regardless of whether the system is behind the corporate firewall or hosted by a third-party provider.

BackFlip takes into account the different capabilities of each communication channel and the need to adjust communications to the specific scenario (interaction point). The system is built on a robust template mechanism that allows delegated administrators to easily customize each interaction point according to the scenario and communication channel specific requirements.

BackFlip requires no client installation or specific device. Leveraging communication standards such as SMPP, SMTP, Jabber, WAP, Voice XML, HTML and RSS, process communication done through BackFlip is compatible with virtually all commonly used devices ranging from basic phones through PDA’s and Notebooks. BackFlip also supports standard authentication methods used by the above communication channels ensuring information will not breach to the wrong people. In cases where an additional security measure is required, BackFlip provides an integral PIN mechanism to be used across all channels.

In addition to its generic web service APIs, BackFlip Process Communications On Demand™ can be delivered with connectors for leading business systems and workflow engines such as Microsoft Biztalk, BEA Weblogic, SAP Workflow and Jboss JBPM.

BackFlip Communications On Demand™ is integrated on the application and business process level and can also be integrated on the data / textual level with a web-based design environment hosted by BackFlip for RSS and Microsoft SQL server.
